SRINAGAR: A 12-year-old girl, identified as Rabia Ashraf of Peth Kanihama, tragically drowned in the Sukhnag stream at Kanihama in Magam area of Budgam on Friday.
According to locals, Rabia slipped into the water near a spot commonly used for bathing and washing along a footpath. Despite prompt rescue attempts by nearby residents, the strong current carried her away.
