350th Urs of Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib (RHA) Observed with Great Devotion in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR: The 350th annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib (RHA) was observed with deep religious fervour and devotion in Kishtwar, drawing a large gathering of devotees from across the district and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib (RHA), one of Kishtwar’s most revered Sufi saints, stands as a symbol of the region’s shared spiritual legacy and interfaith harmony. Every year, thousands of devotees from diverse communities and regions converge at his shrine to offer prayers and seek blessings.
The district administration, in collaboration with Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar, made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the Urs. Adequate provisions for power, water, sanitation, transport, and security were put in place to facilitate the large influx of pilgrims.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, extended his warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion. In his message, he prayed for lasting peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in the district, while highlighting the need to preserve Kishtwar’s rich spiritual and cultural traditions that foster unity and devotion among its people.
A dedicated control room and help desk were set up by the district administration in coordination with the Police Department and District Information Centre to assist devotees during the Urs. Additionally, duty magistrates were deployed at key locations and at the main venue to ensure a safe, peaceful, and well-organized observance of the event.
