New Delhi, Dec 5: The 4th National Lok Adalat 2025 will be held across the country to facilitate amicable settlement of pending cases, officials said on Friday.

The initiative, organised under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), aims to provide speedy and cost‑effective resolution of disputes. Lok Adalats are empowered to take up civil, matrimonial, property, labour, and compoundable criminal cases, enabling parties to reach mutually acceptable settlements without prolonged litigation.

Authorities have urged members of the public to take advantage of the opportunity to resolve their disputes in a friendly and consensual manner. Participation in Lok Adalats helps reduce case backlogs in courts while ensuring justice is delivered in a timely and accessible way.

Officials said the 4th National Lok Adalat will be conducted simultaneously in district and taluka courts, as well as at High Courts, with benches constituted to hear matters. Citizens are encouraged to approach their respective legal services institutions for guidance and registration of cases to be taken up during the Adalat.

The initiative underscores the judiciary’s commitment to promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and strengthening public trust in the justice delivery system.
