NIT Srinagar Successfully Completes B.Tech Admissions for 2025 Batch
Srinagar: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has successfully concluded admissions for the 2025 B.Tech batch, with more than 871 students enrolled across eight engineering disciplines. The admission process was smoothly conducted between August 20–24, 2025.
Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. B.A. Mir, said the admissions were handled in a professional and transparent manner.
“Out of the 899 allotted quota, over 871 seats have been filled. Our teams worked tirelessly from morning till evening to provide a hassle-free experience for students and parents,” he stated.
Prof. Mir appreciated the dedication of Associate Deans, ERP staff, and other team members, while also acknowledging the support of Dean Student Welfare, Administration, Health Centre, Sanitation, and Security for providing facilities under one roof. He highlighted that the institute achieved a record single-day admission of 231 candidates, with even the Registrar and In-charge Director personally inspecting the process.
He further informed that the final round of counselling under JoSAA/CSAB will take place on August 28, alongside Ph.D. admissions, while PG admissions were held on August 18–19.
Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, congratulated the newly admitted students and commended the academic team for conducting the process with efficiency and transparency. He added that the institute is continuously upgrading its infrastructure, laboratories, and student facilities to foster an environment that promotes innovation, research, and holistic development.
Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman also expressed satisfaction, noting that the smooth conduct of admissions reflected teamwork and dedication. “Our priority was to provide a student-friendly environment, and the positive feedback from parents has been encouraging,” he said.
Several parents also praised the arrangements. Mujeeb Khan from Jaipur, whose daughter joined Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, said the entire process was well-organized. Dr. Seerat from Srinagar, whose daughter joined Civil Engineering, lauded the staff’s guidance and professionalism. Balwan Singh from Rajasthan, whose son enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, remarked that the coordination and facilities exceeded expectations.
