994 Examination Centres Established to Ensure Fair and Smooth Class 10th Exams
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has set up 994 examination centres across the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of the Jammu Division to facilitate the Annual Class 10th Examination for nearly 95,000 students, commencing from November 3.
According to a statement issued by JKBOSE, the examination timings will be 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Of the total candidates, 68,804 belong to the ten districts of the Kashmir Division, while 25,224 are from the eight winter zone districts of Jammu Division. Additionally, 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh will also appear in the exams.
To ensure fairness, transparency, and smooth conduct of the examinations, JKBOSE has made comprehensive arrangements. Centre superintendents and supervisory staff have been deployed with strict directions to uphold the integrity of the examination process.
In addition, vigilance squads have been constituted for random inspections to ensure adherence to examination protocols. These teams have been instructed to maintain courteous conduct while performing their duties.
JKBOSE has also sought the support of district administrations to impose restrictions under Section 163 BNSS, aimed at preventing any external interference that could compromise the sanctity of the exams.
The Board has further advised students to dress warmly, given the drop in temperatures, especially in hilly and remote regions, to remain comfortable during the examination hours.
