DC Baramulla chairs RAC meeting, approves 33 out of 34 cases

BARAMULLA,: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting of the Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) to review and finalize rental cases for government offices functioning in private buildings across the district.

During the meeting, a total of 34 cases were taken up for discussion, out of which 33 cases were approved after thorough scrutiny. One case was kept pending for further verification.

DC stressed the importance of fair and transparent assessment of rental agreements while ensuring that government offices operate in spaces that meet functional requirements. He directed the concerned officials to rationalize rental expenditures, expedite pending cases, and ensure adherence to government norms in the assessment process.

Among others Joint Director Planning, Javed Ahmad,  Superintending Engineer,  R&B, Chief Agriculture Officer and Senior officers from the Revenue Department, R&B and other concerned departments were present at the meeting. DC further instructed the officers to conduct periodic assessments to optimize resource utilization and maintain financial discipline.
