Special NCD screening campaign launched in District Doda

DODA: In line with the Union Health Ministry’s National Level initiative, a district wide campaign for screening of Non Communicable Diseases was launched here today.  

 The campaign aims at achieving 100% screening of individuals aged 30 years and above for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), including diabetes, hypertension, and three common cancers—oral, breast, and cervical, a special NCD Screening Campaign has been launched in District Doda here today.

Being conducted under the supervision of Mission Director NHM J&K Nazim Zai Khan, Director Health Services Jammu Dr Rakesh Magotra, the campaign will continue till March 31, 2025.

At the block level, the screening camps are being held at all healthcare facilities under the supervision of by Block Medical Officer (BMO), ensuring that individuals with health issues get proper follow-up care.

With a strong focus on early detection and timely management of chronic conditions, this campaign aims to enhance health awareness and reduce disease burden in the district. 

The Health Department has urged all individuals aged 30 and above to visit their nearest government healthcare facility for free screening.
