JAMMU: Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Dr. Devansh Yadav today conducted an inspection of the Nanak Nagar area after receiving complaints regarding water logging due to a blocked Nallah.
During the visit, Dr. Yadav assessed the situation and interacted with local residents, who were facing inconvenience due to the clogging of the drainage. He assured immediate steps by the Corporation to clear the blockage and restore smooth water flow. He also emphasized that necessary preventive measures would be implemented well before the onset of the monsoon season to avoid similar issues in the future.


Later, the Commissioner visited Raghunath Bazaar to assess ongoing development activities. He reviewed the works undertaken by Jammu Smart City Limited to enhance urban infrastructure and public amenities in the area.
Members of the Raghunath Bazaar Market Association took this opportunity to submit a representation to the Commissioner, highlighting key concerns and demands of the trader community. The representation emphasized the need for renovation of interior lanes, improvement of street lighting, and enhanced sanitation facilities to further boost the market’s appeal and functionality.
He assured the Association of necessary steps to address the highlighted issues. He reiterated the JMC’s commitment to improving civic amenities and fostering a cleaner, well-lit and more accessible commercial environment in Raghunath Bazar.
