Akhnoor: Continuing its commitment to community development and empowerment under Op Sadbhavana, the Indian Army successfully conducted a Basic Computer Course for 20 young girls from village Sunail in the Akhnoor sector.
The initiative aimed at enhancing digital literacy and providing essential computer skills to the youth, empowering them for better educational and career opportunities. The comprehensive training programme covered fundamental computer operations, internet usage, and basic software applications. Upon successful completion, the participants were awarded certificates under the National Computer Literacy Programme (NCLP), marking a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in remote areas. This initiative is a part of the Indian Army’s sustained efforts to promote education, skill development and self-reliance among the local population in Jammu & Kashmir.
The villagers expressed their gratitude for the Army’s continuous support in uplifting the youth and fostering a brighter, self-sufficient future. The Indian Army remains steadfast in its resolve to contribute to nation-building through such welfare projects, ensuring that the benefits of technology and education reach every corner of the region.
