Rajouri: Continuing efforts to foster goodwill and strengthen bonds with the local population, Indian Army in collaboration with Department of Horticulture organised an Awareness Lecture on Seed Distribution at Samote on 24 May 202

The program was designed to educate locals about sustainable agricultural practices and promote self-reliance through home and community farming.  The lecture covered key topics including the importance of seasonal plantation, soil management, organic farming method and techniques for maximizing crop yield in hilly terrain.  Experts from Horticulture Department provided practical demonstrations and interacted with attendees to address individual queries.  As a gesture of support, high-quality vegetable and fruit seeds were distributed free of cost to the participants, encouraging them to apply the shared knowledge and cultivate on their land.

The initiative was well received by the local AWAM, who actively participated and showed enthusiasm for learning modern farming techniques. A total of 62 villagers attended the session.  The locals appreciated the Indian Army and Agriculture Department for this meaningful initiative, which not only shared valuable knowledge but also strengthened the bond between the Army and Awam.
