Poonch: As part of its ongoing civic action and outreach initiatives, the Indian Army conducted an informative lecture on “Health Issues and Preventive Measures” for students at Government High School, Kasbalari, in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The session aimed at raising awareness among young students about common health challenges and the importance of preventive healthcare. Topics such as personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, the importance of regular medical check-ups, and awareness of local healthcare resources were covered during the session.
A key highlight of the event was the interactive Q&A session where students actively participated and shared their doubts regarding diet, lifestyle habits, and health concerns. The open forum encouraged a positive dialogue on how small lifestyle changes can lead to long-term health benefits. The initiative was well received by the students and faculty alike. School authorities expressed their sincere appreciation to the Indian Army for their dedicated efforts in educating the youth on crucial health-related topics, and for consistently working towards the upliftment of rural communities in remote areas. Such engagements continue to build stronger ties between the Indian Army and local population, while also contributing meaningfully to nation-building and community development.
