Moscow, In a stern diplomatic warning, the Russian Foreign Ministry has cautioned the United States against any direct military assistance to Israel amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. According to Russia’s state-run news agency Interfax, the ministry stated that even “thinking about such involvement” would have serious consequences for regional and global stability.

The strong message from Moscow comes as hostilities between Iran and Israel intensify following days of missile exchanges, drone strikes, and mounting civilian casualties on both sides. With Washington expressing its continued support for Israel, Russia’s warning reflects deepening international divisions over the unfolding crisis.

“We caution the United States against any form of direct military intervention in support of Israel,” a Russian foreign ministry official reportedly told Interfax. “Even contemplating such action would further destabilize the already fragile region and could provoke irreversible consequences.”

Russia has positioned itself as a critic of Western influence in the Middle East, particularly in conflict zones like Syria, Lebanon, and now Iran-Israel tensions. Moscow maintains diplomatic relations with Tehran and has long opposed unilateral military actions by the U.S. in the region.

The Kremlin’s warning appears to be part of a broader strategic message aimed at deterring further escalation and preventing a possible proxy war scenario involving global powers.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has increased its military readiness in the region but has not indicated plans for direct engagement against Iran. The White House and Pentagon have repeatedly stated their goal is to “defend allies” and “maintain deterrence,” without being drawn into open conflict.

International observers are calling for restraint and urging diplomatic solutions, but with threats and counter-threats mounting, fears of a larger regional war persist.
