Jammu: Tiger Division celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga at Zorawar stadium, Sunjuwan, with enthusiastic participation and spirit. The event was held in line with the national theme “Yoga for One Earth One Health”, emphasizing holistic well-being and harmony between humanity and nature.
A total of 400 participants, including families, took part in the event, displaying immense zeal and commitment towards the ancient Indian practice of yoga. The session gave an enriching experience on asanas, pranayama and meditation techniques to all the participants.
In a parallel event 100 boys and 100 girls NCC cadets from NCC Directorate JK & L performed yoga at the iconic Balidan Stambh, paying tribute to the spirit of sacrifice while embracing the discipline and wellness that yoga promotes. The serene and symbolic setting of Balidan Stambh added a solemn and inspiring dimension to the celebration.
Yoga day was also organised at Army Public School, Sunjuwan where Ms. Pooja Devi, president of Bharat yoga sports federation J&K participated in the session with enthusiastic school children.
The collective observance reinforced the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting physical fitness, mental well being and national initiative that nutures holistic health and unity. The successful conduct of the yoga day celebration across locations showcased the deeprooted value of discipline, resilience and wellness within the armed forces and the future generation of our country.
