Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Leak Hints at Bigger Battery, Larger Display—But Is That Enough?
Google is gearing up to unveil its Pixel 10 series, and leaks surrounding the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are offering an early look at the next-generation foldable. While the foldable segment is heating up with strong contenders like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Vivo’s X Fold 5, Google’s upcoming foldable aims to make its mark with some notable upgrades.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold: What the Leaks Reveal
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to sport a 6.4-inch OLED cover display and an expansive 8-inch inner display, boasting up to 3000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it could be powered by Google’s upcoming Tensor G5 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM—a standard annual bump in performance for Google’s premium lineup.
On the camera front, changes appear to be minimal. The device may feature a triple-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, a 10.5MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto shooter—similar to what we saw on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
One of the more significant improvements may come in the form of battery life. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tipped to pack a 5,015mAh battery, a noticeable increase over its predecessor’s 4,500mAh unit. However, charging speeds are likely to remain unchanged—23W wired and 15W wireless.
Design: Familiar, With Minor Tweaks
Don’t expect a radical design overhaul. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold appears to retain much of the design language of the 9 Pro Fold, including a similar cream-colored finish and Google’s signature rectangular rear camera bar. The dual-stage camera module with vertically stacked lenses makes a return.
Interestingly, the upcoming model might be slightly thicker—around 5.3mm when unfolded—compared to the 5.1mm profile of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The increase is likely due to the larger battery.
Will Google Play the Pricing Card?
With marginal design updates and hardware improvements focused on display brightness and battery life, the big question is whether Google will adjust the pricing. Given the stiff competition and consumer expectations, a modest or even reduced price tag could make the Pixel 10 Pro Fold a more compelling option in 2025.
As we await an official launch, likely in August, all eyes are on whether these refinements will be enough for Google to gain ground in the foldable race.
