Stock markets end lower amid IT stock sell-off, renewed foreign fund outflows

MUMBAI: Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Thursday, weighed down by selling in IT stocks and cautious investor sentiment ahead of the US-India trade talks outcome.

The BSE Sensex declined by 375.24 points, or 0.45%, to close at 82,259.24. During the session, it slipped as much as 415.21 points to touch an intraday low of 82,219.27.

Similarly, the NSE Nifty dropped 100.60 points, or 0.40%, to settle at 25,111.45.
