NEW DELHI: Dubai, Bali, and Bangkok emerged as the most preferred international travel destinations for Indians booking through the OYO app between January and June this year, the IPO-bound travel tech firm said on Thursday. According to OYO, bookings to destinations with simplified visa processes surged 65% year-on-year in this period.

The company’s latest report, OYO Travelopedia 2025, analyzed 20,000 bookings made via its platform. Dubai led the chart with a threefold increase in bookings by Indian families, while Bali saw a notable uptick among couples and honeymooners.

Travel durations varied by region—stays in Southeast Asia averaged 5–7 days, while trips to the Middle East were typically 3–5 days. Longer itineraries to Europe and the US stretched up to 10–15 days.

“The report underscores a strong 65% year-on-year rise in bookings to visa-easy destinations in H1 2025, driven by friendlier visa rules, improved air connectivity, and a rising demand for premium travel experiences,” OYO said in a statement.

The platform currently operates a network of 50 premium hotels across these key regions, with 23 properties in Southeast Asia and 27 in the Middle East, primarily under its SUNDAY and Palette brands.

OYO also announced plans to expand its premium offerings further, focusing on emerging global hotspots with aspirational properties and curated guest experiences.
