KATHUA: In celebration of the 79th year of India’s Independence, Government Degree College Ramkote organized a seminar titled “Role of J&K Youth in Achieving Viksit Bharat@2047” under the patronage of Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul.
Students from BA Semesters I, III, and V actively participated, sharing insightful perspectives on the role of youth in nation-building. Topics included entrepreneurship, employment opportunities in saffron and lavender cultivation, mushroom farming, the importance of avoiding drug abuse, and the promotion of road safety.
The seminar was judged by Prof. Pankaj Nandan and Prof. Vasundra Raje. Janvi Devi (BA Sem III) secured the first position, followed by Sulekha Devi (BA Sem V) and Sakshi Devi.
Coordinated by Prof. Anu Sharma, NSS Programme Officer, the event fostered student leadership and emphasized the vital role of youth in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
