Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 7 (ANI): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s longtime bodyguard, Shera, mourns the loss of his father, Sunder Singh Jolly, who passed away earlier today. Following the funeral rites, Salman visited Shera’s residence to offer his condolences.

In visuals from the scene, Salman was seen arriving with tight security. He stepped out of his vehicle and embraced Shera to console him before the two entered the building together.

Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, has been a close associate of Salman Khan for many years. Earlier in the day, he issued an official statement announcing the sad news:

“My father, Shri Sunder Singh Jolly, has left for his heavenly abode today. The last journey will commence at 4 PM from my residence — 1902, The Park Luxury Residences, Off Lokhandwala Back Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai. Cremation will take place at Oshiwara Crematorium, Jogeshwari West.
In grief,
Shera”

The heartbreaking news comes just a few months after Shera had celebrated his father’s 88th birthday. On the occasion, he had posted a touching tribute on Instagram, sharing a photo with his father and writing:

“Happy 88th birthday to the strongest man — my God, my father, my inspiration! Every bit of strength in me comes from you. Love you, Dad, always! #MyHero #88YearsStrong #HappyBirthday #Shera #hbd #blessed”

The bhog and ardas ceremony for the late Sunder Singh Jolly will be held on August 10 at the Gurudwara, 4 Bungalows, Mumbai.
