SRINAGAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V K Birdi, on Friday reviewed the overall security situation and preparedness for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. He directed all security agencies to complete necessary arrangements well in advance.
Birdi chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Control Room in Srinagar to assess the security scenario and finalize plans for Independence Day and related events, a police spokesperson said.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Police, Army, Railway Police, BSF, CRPF, SSB, and ITBP.
