JAMMU: A man was arrested on Friday for allegedly assaulting a government official on the outskirts of Jammu, police said.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Kangrail, where Patwari Susheel Kumar was reportedly attacked while entering his office after returning from field duty.
In a written complaint, Kumar alleged that Abishek Suryavanshi, a resident of Kangrail, obstructed his path, physically assaulted him, and issued threats.
Following the complaint, police registered a case and arrested Suryavanshi. Further investigation is underway.
