New Delhi: The festive spirit of Raksha Bandhan resonated warmly across the cricketing world, as many Indian players took to social media to share heartfelt moments with their sisters. From lighthearted jokes to sincere wishes, their posts beautifully showcased the special bond that defines the festival.

India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav offered fans a glimpse into his celebrations by sharing a series of photos on Instagram, perfectly capturing the blend of love and mischief he shares with his sister. His caption read, “The last picture sums up our relationship. Happy Rakshabandhan.”

Meanwhile, Suryakumar is diligently working on his recovery ahead of next month’s Asia Cup.

Shreyas Iyer, a vital contributor to India’s Champions Trophy victory, also shared a heartfelt post featuring a photo with his sister, wishing everyone a “Happy Rakshabandhan.”

Power-hitter Rinku Singh’s sister, Neha Singh, posted a festive picture of their celebration, tagging her brother with the message, “Happy Rakshabandhan Bhai,” giving fans a glimpse of their close sibling bond.

Since the T20 World Cup, Rinku has become a regular in the shortest format but is yet to secure a steady spot in the ODI squad. He has appeared in two ODIs for India and boasts impressive List-A statistics, scoring 1,899 runs in 52 innings at an average of 48.69 and a striking rate of 94.8, including one century and 17 half-centuries.

In 33 T20I matches and 24 innings, Rinku has amassed 546 runs at an average of 42.00 with a strike rate of 161.06, featuring three half-centuries, although he is still chasing his maiden T20I century. The 27-year-old made his T20I debut against Ireland in 2023.

Rinku has been a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League, playing 59 matches and scoring 1,099 runs at a strike rate of 145.20, including four half-centuries in the highly competitive tournament.
