Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan celebrated Raksha Bandhan with his family at his sister Alvira Agnihotri’s Mumbai residence.
Viral visuals on social media showed Salman arriving with his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. The Saturday gathering also saw Arbaaz Khan with wife Sshura Khan and son Arhaan, Arpita Khan Sharma with her children, Sohail Khan with his son Nirvaan, and other close family members.
The intimate, homely celebration was captured in glimpses shared by Alvira’s husband, filmmaker Atul Agnihotri. In the video, the younger family members enthusiastically marked the occasion, while Salman, Arbaaz, and Sohail joined in the festivities. Salman was all smiles as Arpita and Alvira tied Rakhis on his wrist, a gesture mirrored by Arbaaz and Sohail as they showered their sisters with love and blessings.
Actress Bina Kak, unable to attend due to a broken ankle, sent her wishes on Instagram, describing Salman as a “brother-like-son” and praying for his happiness, health, and peace.
Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Anupam Kher, Ananya Panday, and Sanjay Dutt, also celebrated Raksha Bandhan, sharing festive moments online.
On the work front, Salman was last seen in A.R. Murugadoss’s Sikandar, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. He is now preparing to portray an Indian Army soldier in Apoorva Lakhia’s Battle of Galwan, based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes between India and China.
