Mumbai – Advance bookings for the much-awaited Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer War 2 have officially opened. On Sunday, the makers confirmed the update and dropped a fresh pre-release promo, offering a glimpse of the high-octane action awaiting fans.
The promo showcases Hrithik’s Kabir and Jr NTR’s Vikram in a fierce face-off, highlighting their intense rivalry at the core of the story.
“Are you ready to witness the carnage in cinemas from August 14th? BOOK TICKETS NOW for #War2 and let us give you an experience to cherish for the rest of your lives. Releasing in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil in theatres worldwide! #YRFSpyUniverse,” read the announcement on Instagram.
The update, arriving just days before release, has sparked excitement among fans, who flooded the comments with anticipation.
Earlier, Yash Raj Films teased audiences with a clip from the song Janaab-e-Aali, featuring Hrithik and Jr NTR in a dance face-off — reminiscent of Hrithik’s iconic Jai Jai Shivshankar battle with Tiger Shroff from the first War. The makers revealed that the full song will only be available in theatres.
Another track, the romantic Aavan Jaavan, has already been released and is garnering praise from listeners.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 sees Hrithik return as Major Kabir, this time facing a formidable new adversary, Vikram, played by Jr NTR. Kiara Advani joins the cast as Kabir’s love interest and fellow soldier.
The film’s official trailer is out, and War 2 will release worldwide on August 14, 2025, coinciding with Independence Day.
