Srinagar: Two police officers lost their lives in an accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, an official reported on Monday.
Three sub-inspectors returning from Amarnath Yatra duty were involved in the accident at Tengan in the Lasjan area of Srinagar, the official said.
The injured officers were immediately taken to a hospital, where two were declared dead on arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Sachin Verma and Shubham, while the injured officer is named Mastan Singh, the official added.
