SAMBA: The NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organized a Tiranga Rally within and around the college campus as part of the Independence Day celebrations, aligned with the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
The rally was officially flagged off by the college Principal, Dr. (Prof.) Ashu Vashisht, who emphasized that India’s independence was a historic moment—a “tryst with destiny”—achieved through the tireless efforts and sacrifices of countless unsung heroes. She also linked the rally’s spirit to the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility as integral to the essence of independence.
Students and NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated, raising patriotic slogans such as “Bharat Mata ki Jai,” “Jai Hind,” “Jai Bharat,” and “Inquilab Zindabad.”
The Principal applauded the organizers and participants for their energetic involvement. The entire event was successfully executed with strong support and coordination from the college’s senior faculty members
