JAMMU: Security forces on Tuesday detected and safely defused two rusted mortar shells along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The shells were discovered during routine patrolling at forward locations in the Balnoi area of the Medhar belt, they added.
After the area was cordoned off, the bomb disposal squad was deployed and successfully destroyed the shells, officials confirmed.
