JAMMU: A massive cloudburst struck Chasoti, a remote village on the route to the Machail Mata shrine in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday, leaving at least 10 people feared dead, officials said.
Chasoti is the last motorable point before the shrine, and the annual pilgrimage has been suspended in the wake of the disaster. Authorities have mobilised all available resources and are rushing to the site to carry out large-scale rescue and relief operations, they added.
