Jammu: Two people riding a scooter were killed today after a container collided with their vehicle in the Ghagwal area of Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to police, the container, driven recklessly by an unidentified driver while traveling from Jammu to Kathua, struck the scooter near Jatwal on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
The rider, Hanish Kumar, and the pillion rider, Parshotam Kumar Tak, both residents of Kali Jani, Jammu, were on their way to Kathua when the accident occurred. Both died on the spot.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
