SAMBA: Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion and traditional fervour at Shri Narsingh Dham Temple, Ghagwal, drawing thousands of devotees from across the district and neighbouring areas.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, visited the temple, offered prayers, and paid obeisance. She also engaged with devotees, temple priests, and the management committee, while reviewing the facilities available for pilgrims. Conveying her greetings to the public, the Deputy Commissioner prayed for peace, prosperity, and harmony in the district.
She was accompanied by SDM Ghagwal, Kawaljit Singh Bali, along with other officers and officials from the district administration.
The temple was beautifully decorated with lights, and long queues of devotees were seen from early morning. Cultural and devotional activities, including bhajans and kirtans, were organised to enrich the spiritual ambience. The district administration made special arrangements for security, sanitation, traffic management, and medical services to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
