MLA Budhal visits Panjnara village affected by land subsidence

RAJOURI: MLA Budhal, Javed Iqbal Choudhary, today visited Panjnara village, where several houses were damaged due to land sinking. Acting swiftly on the reports, the District Administration Rajouri evacuated affected families to safer locations, preventing any loss of life.

During his visit, the MLA assessed the situation firsthand. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, assigned officials from relevant departments to conduct a thorough review of the damage and formulate remedial measures.

MLA Choudhary assured the affected families of full rehabilitation support and administrative assistance during this challenging time. He also praised the Deputy Commissioner and his team for their prompt response, stating, “From the Budhal incident to Operation Sindoor, and now in Panjnara, the administration has consistently worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of citizens.”

The visiting team included Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka, Dil Mir Choudhary; DSEO and Nodal Officer for Rehabilitation, Sandeep Sharma; Tehsildar Koteranka, Sahil Ali; Dy.SP Sharafat Choudhary; Executive Engineer Flood Control; Divisional Forest Officer; District Mineral Officer; Social Forestry officials; Ashfaq Choudhary, AEE PHE; Naim Naik, Range Officer; and other field officers from Revenue, RDD, and CAPD departments.

The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to take all necessary measures on priority to provide relief, rehabilitation, and long-term safety for the affected families.
