RSS leader Indresh Kumar visits Srinagar Sufi shrine, emphasizes quest for brotherhood, harmony, and peace

Srinagar: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar visited the Ziyarat Baba Zainuddin Rishi (RA) Sufi shrine in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday.

He was accompanied by Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, and together they paid their respects at the shrine, praying for the welfare of humanity.

Prof. Shahid Akhter, officiating Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and National Convenor of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, also joined the RSS leader during the visit.

Speaking to the media, Indresh Kumar appreciated the development work at the shrine. “These shrines are places of harmony and love. We are pleased to see the progress at such spiritual sites under Dr. Darakhshan’s leadership,” he said.

He added, “Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of India, and India is the crown of the world. The essence of ‘Sare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara’ reflects the reality that this country belongs equally to people of all faiths, without discrimination. Brotherhood, harmony, and peace are what we seek at these revered sites.”

Kumar further stated that efforts are underway to restore an era of lasting peace, prosperity, and brotherhood in the region.

Syed Darakhshan Andrabi thanked Indresh Kumar for his visit and praised his contributions toward the welfare of Muslim communities across India. Board member Syed Mohammed Hussain and Executive Magistrate Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin were also present.
