KISHTWAR: The sacred Pavitra Charri (Holy Mace) of Shree Chandi Mata resumed its spiritual journey today from Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir, Sarkoot, following an overnight halt. It is en route to the revered Shree Chandi Mata Shrine in Machail Village, Block Paddar.
In light of the cloudburst incident on 14 August, the procession proceeded in a simple and solemn manner, accompanied by a limited number of vehicles under tight security.
The pilgrimage continues with unwavering devotion, following its traditional route with scheduled stops at Atholi, Massu, and Chasoti. The Pavitra Charri is expected to reach Machail Shrine on 22 August 2025 and will commence its return journey on 24 August 2025.
