NEW DELHI: Approximately 50 schools in the national capital received bomb threats via e-mail on Wednesday, prompting police and emergency agencies to launch immediate search operations, officials said.
The schools reportedly targeted include Rahul Model School and Maxfort School in Dwarka, SKV in Malviya Nagar, and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar, police sources added.
The Delhi Fire Services confirmed that information about threats at SKV, Malviya Nagar, and Andhra School, Prasad Nagar, was received at 7:40 am and 7:42 am, respectively. Police teams, accompanied by fire personnel and bomb disposal squads, were dispatched to the sites without delay.
This latest warning comes just two days after similar threats were made against 32 schools across the city on August 18, which were later determined to be hoaxes.
