New Delhi: The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice of India B R Gavai, has approved the appointment of two additional judges as permanent judges of the Gauhati High Court.
At its meeting on August 19, 2025, the collegium cleared the names of Justice Budi Habung and Justice N Unni Krishnan Nair for elevation as permanent judges, according to an official communication.
It also recommended extending the tenure of Justice Kaushik Goswami as an additional judge of the high court for a fresh one-year term starting November 10.
