Jammu, Aug 21: A tragic accident on the Jammu-Pathankot highway in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, left one person dead and 40 others injured on Thursday, officials said.
According to a police official, the bus carrying pilgrims to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine overturned at Jatwal in Samba district, killing one pilgrim on the spot and injuring 40 others. The official added that the accident occurred at around 3:20 am near High School Jatwal in Ghagwal tehsil, reportedly due to a tire burst.
