Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a grand entrance on Wednesday at the launch of the preview video for The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, marking the directorial debut of his son, Aryan Khan.
Dressed in a sharp, dark ensemble, Shah Rukh immediately brought his signature wit to the event. “I would like to acknowledge that none of us would be here right now, the show wouldn’t have been made, and all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering faith, support, and strength from me,” he joked, eliciting laughter from the audience.
Adding a personal touch to his look, the actor sported an arm cast emblazoned with the initials “Ba***ds.” He is currently recovering from an arm injury, reportedly sustained during the shooting of King.
During the event, Shah Rukh also spoke about his recent National Award win, humorously noting, “My one hand is enough for picking the National Award.”
Aryan Khan attended the launch alongside his mother, producer Gauri Khan. The first look of the Netflix series was unveiled, offering a glimpse into the inner workings of the film industry. Aryan himself appears in the video, saying, “Bollywood — jisse aapne salon se pyaar bhi kiya aur vaar bhi kiya, main bhi wahi karunga, bohot saara pyaar… aur thoda sa vaar. (You have loved Bollywood and also poked fun at it. I will do the same — give it a lot of love and a little roast).”
Written and directed by Aryan Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* promises a chaotic yet entertaining journey through the “world of dreams.” The series is set to premiere on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
