The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has clarified that two-wheelers are exempt from paying toll at plazas on National Highways and Expressways across the country.

In response to misinformation circulating on social media about toll collection from two-wheelers, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a statement confirming that user fees are levied strictly under the National Highway Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, and there is no proposal to impose toll charges on two-wheelers.
