NEW DELHI: Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla on Friday met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and recounted his experiences from space, the President’s office said.

Shukla recently became the first Indian astronaut to travel to the International Space Station (ISS). He, along with fellow crew members, returned to Earth last month after completing a 20-day mission under Axiom Mission 4.

Group Captain Shukla was accompanied by Group Captains Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair and Punyashlok Biswal, as well as ISRO Chairman and Department of Space Secretary V. Narayanan, and Human Space Flight Centre Director Dinesh Kumar Singh, during the meeting.

The President’s office, in a post on X, said Shukla shared his space journey with Murmu. “The President conveyed her best wishes to the entire team for their future endeavours, particularly the Gaganyaan Mission,” the post added.
