GANDERBAL: Secretary of the Rural Development Department (RDD) & Panchayati Raj, Aijaz Asad, today inspected the ongoing construction of the Yatri Niwas at the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla to review progress and ensure timely completion of the project.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore; Director RDD, Shabir Hussain Bhat; Executive Engineer REW; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ganderbal; and Block Development Officers of Ganderbal, Lar, and Tulmulla.
During the visit, the Secretary assessed the completed phases of construction and sought a detailed update on the remaining work. He directed the Executive Engineer REW to accelerate the construction pace and instructed that any issues, particularly those concerning fund availability, be reported immediately to avoid delays.
Highlighting the significance of the project, Aijaz Asad stressed strict adherence to the approved timeline and quality standards. He noted that once completed, the Yatri Niwas will greatly improve accommodation and related facilities for pilgrims visiting the historic Kheer Bhawani Temple.
