Srinagar: Police on Monday recovered an old, rusted hand grenade from a garbage dump in Iqbal Colony, Safakadal area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar.
According to sources, the grenade was noticed in a heap of garbage at Iqbal Colony.
An officer said that, prima facie, the object appears to be an old, rusted grenade and has been taken into possession for further examination.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated further investigation.
