SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar, presided over the ceremony.
Congratulating the university’s management, faculty, staff, and graduating students, the Lt Governor urged the youth to embrace two key qualities—a positive mindset for change and the courage to achieve greater growth. Optimism and courage, he said, empower young people to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
“Life is a continuous journey of learning, driven by curiosity and discovery. A convocation is not the end but a new beginning, marking the transition to professional experiences that shape new skills,” he remarked. He further observed that challenges build integrity, honesty, and character, while curiosity and creativity fuel lifelong growth.
Paying tribute to Bihar’s luminaries, reformers, and revolutionaries, the Lt Governor said the state is regaining its intellectual and cultural glory. “A modern, strong, and progressive Bihar will play a vital role in Viksit Bharat. The youth must pledge to make Bihar and India number one,” he added.

Highlighting the nation’s strides in self-reliance and innovation, he said India is unlocking its true potential and is on an unstoppable path to becoming a global economic power.
He also congratulated women students who received gold medals, noting their achievements as a reflection of Nari Shakti. “Our daughters are breaking barriers and excelling in every field. This is a proud moment not just for the university and Bihar, but for the entire nation,” he said.
The event was attended by Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Samir Kumar Sharma, Registrar; Heads of Departments, faculty, staff, and students of the University.
