LG Sinha Reviews Flood Relief Operations, Urges Priority Restoration of Essential Services
SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke with Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shri Ramesh Kumar, and other senior officials to assess the ongoing flood situation and the progress of rescue and relief operations.
He directed officials to prioritize the restoration of power, communication, and water supply in areas where floodwaters are receding. Over 5,000 people have been safely evacuated from low-lying, flood-affected areas.
The Army, NDRF, and SDRF are working in close coordination with the Divisional Commissioner’s office to ensure adequate supply of relief materials and provide all possible assistance to those affected.
The Lieutenant Governor also expressed his prayers for the safety and well-being of residents impacted by the floods, as well as appreciation for the emergency responders and citizens actively involved in relief efforts.
In a post on X, LG Sinha stated:
