Jammu: Railway authorities have arranged a special train to help stranded passengers travel from Jammu to Delhi after flash floods and cloudbursts disrupted connectivity in parts of the Jammu division, officials said on Thursday.

According to sources, the train is scheduled to leave Jammu Railway Station at 11:30 AM today. The decision was taken in view of heavy rainfall and cloudbursts that triggered flash floods, damaging road infrastructure and cutting off several routes.

Officials said vehicle movement on key highways has been severely affected due to waterlogging, landslides, and road damage. Restoration work is underway, while weather conditions are gradually improving.

Priority boarding on the special service will be given to stranded tourists and families, they added.
