RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office to review and finalize arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electricity and water supply across Rajouri town and surrounding areas during the auspicious occasion. He directed concerned departments to undertake cleanliness drives, lime-lining of roads, repair of street lights, and installation of dustbins at designated locations.
He also instructed the police to prepare a comprehensive traffic diversion plan in consultation with traffic authorities and to widely publicize it in advance for the convenience of citizens.
The meeting was attended by SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar; ADC, Chander Prakash; ACR, Mohd Jahangir Khan; DySP Headquarters, Satish Kumar; Executive Engineer PDD, Abdul Rasheed; Executive Engineer PHE, Sudesh Kumar; AD FCS&CA; EO Municipality; AD Fire & Emergency Services; and other officers from line departments.
Representatives of civil society were also present and shared suggestions to ensure smooth and hassle-free celebrations. The DC assured full administrative support and urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination to make the event a success.
