Jammu: Police on Sunday arrested two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s border district of Poonch and recovered weapons from their possession, officials said.
The accused have been identified as Tariq Sheikh of Azamabad and Riyaz Ahmad of Chamber village. They were apprehended during a raid, which led to the recovery of two assault rifles and ammunition based on their disclosure, officials added.
Police first raided Sheikh’s house in Azamabad, arresting him along with Ahmad. Subsequent questioning led the team to Sheikh’s rented accommodation in Jallian village, where the weapons were seized, they said.
