SRINAGAR: A soldier was killed in an accidental firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when Constable Chotu Kumar of the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles jumped off a truck upon reaching the Manasbal area. His service rifle went off accidentally, and a bullet hit him below the chin, leading to his instant death, officials said.
