JAMMU: BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary began his two-day visit to the Jammu frontier on Sunday with an inspection of flood-affected areas along the International Border in Samba district, an official said.
On arrival at the BSF Jammu frontier headquarters, Chawdhary was welcomed by SS Khandare, Additional Director General, Western Command, and Shashank Anand, BSF Inspector General of the Jammu frontier.
Following his arrival, he visited the flood-hit areas in Samba, assessed the damage, and oversaw ongoing restoration efforts, the BSF said in a post on X. He also reviewed the current security situation along the International Border.
Chawdhary held briefings with sector and battalion commanders, underlining the importance of effective area domination and operational readiness to maintain border security, the post added.
