Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor has wrapped up his latest project with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, marking their fourth collaboration after Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon.
Shahid shared a behind-the-scenes monochrome picture with Bhardwaj on Instagram on Sunday, calling the project “super special.”
Speaking about the film, Shahid revealed that the yet-to-be-titled project allowed him to explore a “madly different character.” He said working with Bhardwaj always feels like stepping into a “new world” and confirmed that, like Kaminey and Haider, he plays a titular role in this film. He also praised his co-stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Avinash Tiwary, and Disha Patani.
“And it’s a WRAP. My 4th collaboration with this special man @vishalrbhardwaj. Excitement levels are off the charts. Our secretly titled film is done. As always, it’s a new world and a madly different character for me. A titular part from him for the 3rd time. I am one of the Kaminey, I am Haider, and now I am… This post can’t be complete without including the stellar cast @tripti_dimri, who I had a total blast with,” Shahid wrote.
He added, “Watch out for her performance in this one. @iamnanapatekar, thank you for those layered scenes we shared. @official_farida_jalal ji, for your warmth and grace. @avinashtiwary15, for your playlist on that drive—I can’t reveal more here, brother. @hussain.dalal completes me and is a total rager in the film. @dishapatani, we killed the two songs together, and I can’t wait to collaborate again—you’re so much fun. And there’s one more actor, one of my favorites, who can’t be revealed yet, but it’s such a pleasure having him on board. Finally, @nadiadwalagrandson, thank you for putting this all together. On the work front, Shahid was last seen in Deva, where he played ACP Dev Ambre, a police officer who loses his memory while investigating his best friend’s murder. Pooja Hegde starred opposite him as a reporter and Dev’s love interest. The film released in theaters on January 31.
