PATNA: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday promised that his party would soon unveil a “hydrogen bomb” of revelations on “vote chori,” warning that after that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would not be able to face the nation.

Speaking at the concluding event of his ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Patna, Gandhi hailed Bihar as a revolutionary state that had sent a strong message to the country.

“We will not let them (BJP) undermine the Constitution, which is why we undertook this yatra. The response has been tremendous. People came out in large numbers, chanting ‘vote chor gaddi chhor,’” the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said.

Addressing BJP leaders directly, he added, “Have you heard of anything bigger than an atom bomb? This is a hydrogen bomb. Be ready, BJP—people will soon learn the truth about vote chori.” He further claimed, “I guarantee that after this hydrogen bomb, Narendra Modi ji will not be able to show his face to the country.”

Gandhi accused the BJP of stealing votes in the Maharashtra assembly elections and presented evidence of alleged “vote chori” in the Mahadevapura assembly segment of Karnataka’s Bangalore Central Lok Sabha seat.

“To the youth of Bihar, vote chori is the theft of your rights, your democracy, and even your employment. They can take away your ration cards and other entitlements,” he asserted.

The remarks came after INDIA bloc allies held a march to mark the culmination of the 1,300-km ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra,’ which passed through 110 assembly constituencies across 25 of Bihar’s 38 districts ahead of the state elections.

The ‘Gandhi se Ambedkar’ march, concluding the yatra, was briefly stopped by police at the Dak Bungalow crossing, where leaders addressed a gathering.

Gandhi was joined by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Vikassheel Insan Party chief Mukesh Sahani, CPI (ML) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby, CPI’s Annie Raja, TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, and other INDIA bloc leaders.

The march began in Patna with INDIA bloc leaders paying floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Gandhi Maidaan. Launched from Sasaram on August 17, the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ aimed to highlight alleged violations of voters’ rights through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
