Rajouri: A woman and her daughter tragically died when a wall of their home collapsed during heavy rainfall in Tanda Kangri, Sunderbani, Rajouri district, in the early hours between September 2 and 3.
Officials identified the victims as Sita Devi, wife of Rattan Lal, and her daughter Sonia Rattan Lal, who were inside the house when the wall gave way.
Police and a rescue team rushed to the scene and recovered their bodies. Authorities said the collapse was caused by continuous rainfall in the area.
The matter is under investigation, and further inquiries have been initiated.
